Accused reunited with his old mother after the High Court granted Bail in NDPS matter

In the present case, accused Ravinder Singh (name changed) belonged to Ambala City and was doing small time job. He was implicated in an FIR in 2018 by P.S. Vikas Puri, Delhi for the offences under Section 21/61/85 of NDPS Act for recovery of 110 Grams of heroine from his possession. It was the case of accused Ravinder Singh that being a poor person he had been false involved in this case and he is facing great hardship. He was represented by a Legal Aid Counsel before the Ld. Trial Court and his attempt to take bail was rejected by the lower court.

The old mother of accused Ravinder Singh approached our NGO and sought Free Legal Aid for his son for filing and arguing his bail proceedings before Hon’ble Delhi High Court. In view of the poor condition of accused Ravinder Singh and overall facts and circumstances of the case, we accepted his brief. We filed the bail application on his behalf before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court on pro bono basis purely on humanitarian and compassionate ground. The said bail application was registered as Bail Application No.1716/2019 and our Chief Trustee Sh. Ajay Garg, Advocate argued the bail application on behalf of accused Ravinder Singh and the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi was pleased to grant bail to accused Ravinder Singh vide order dated 27.09.2019 that is how he came out of jail and we helped him in re-uniting with his family.
